1. Laurel sees the individual website as more than just a designed piece of work, but a space to represent the artist. It is a site where knowledge and creativity can be housed within. The website is alive, it can not only show a finished product, but it can also document the process and the changes, even the failures experienced in the process. an individual website represents a part of the artist's personality, how the artist builds it makes a difference. I agree with Laurel, everyone's definition of a website should be different in order to promote a diverse website. Only by truly seeing it as understanding and mastering how to build a website can one reap the rewards of an individual website that is both independently unique and expressive of its own character, just like raising a child. Not only that, but when people look at the past site, they are also able to see traces of history on it and feel its past glory. An individual website not only records the content, but also records time.
